Top 5 Uplifting Documentaries

Documentaries have never failed to make an impact on the viewer. Why? Because they speak and talk in ways that you can directly relate to. There are a bunch of uplifting documentaries that I have seen and enjoyed and therefore, today, I will be listing the top 5 of them for our readers.

Stranded is inspiring because it covers the events of the famous 1972 Andes plane crash. The events were narrated by the 16 survivors of the crash and that is something very well captured in the documentary. The documentary is harrowing but it is also very uplifting. It shows the tale of the surviving irrespective of all odds. A documentary that everybody must see, Stranded is your choice if you want something real and motivational.

Life is another beloved BBC, following the popularity of Planet Earth, which highlights different forms of life in the world. The movie had a high budget, which you can enjoy with the quality of footage. The series is both written and narrated by David Attenborough. After watching Life, you will feel totally inspired by the quirky wildlife all around the world. (P.S. You can stream it on Netflix!)

Man On Wire

Man on Wire is the astonishing tale of Phillipe Petit. Phillipe was a French tightrope walker who walked between the World Trade Center’s back in New York in the year 1974. While the documentary is thoroughly simple, it is interesting and uplifting because it shows you what a person can actually do. It is a showcase of how brilliant humans can be and what exactly they are capable of. It shows you that if one person can do it, others can do it as well. Phillipe did the unthinkable in Man on Wire and that is the main reason why we love the guy and the documentary as well.

Senna is a documentary that showcases the driving skills of the famous Formula One driver Ayrton Senna. The documentary well captures his driving skills and personalities. Senna had a very brilliant but a controversial F1 career. He had won as many as three World Championships but ultimately, his fate was very tragic. The documentary, therefore, works to manage and capture just this and it is done in a very beautiful manner. Even though Senna had a tragic end, his legacy is one that one can never forget.

1, again, is a famous documentary from the Formula 1 racing in 1960s/70s. Narrated by Michael Fassbender, 1 shows the tumultuous era of the Formula 1 racing. It shows the tragedies, the safety programs and all that goes on in this industry, providing one with insights and a lot of goose bumps at the same time. It also shows the men who risked their lives to make Formula One come true.

There is a range of documentaries we like, enjoy and find motivating but the top five of these have been listed above. Watch these if you want a dose of motivation and positivity.

It's not easy being a movie blogger. I even have to finish the bad movies all the way through.
