The Hunger Games series has been a movie franchise that has garnered a huge amount of attention for both of the movies released so far – but will Mockingjay: Part 1 live up to the hype?

The third movie of the franchise is opening on the same weekend as Hunger Games: Catching Fire did in 2013 in 4,151 theatres – suggesting that Lionsgate expect it to be a lucrative opening weekend. Film Forecaster partnered with Paragon Poll to predict just how well it will do opening weekend.

In order to assess the overall interest; Wikipedia page views were analyzed for the 2 months leading up to the release date of for The Hunger Games and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, as well as tracking page views for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 in the lead up to the release date.
